We are also very pleased to announce several recent additions to our firm. These additions bring us more than 100 years of expertise and broaden our practice areas to better serve of our clients’ needs.

On August 1st Earl Sutherland, formerly a member of the Reed McClure Law Firm, joined us in an Of Counsel capacity. Earl brings to us 28 years of solid and wide-ranging insurance defense litigation with a concentration on complex litigation and legal malpractice. Earl graduated from University of Washington Law School in 1981 and is licensed in Alaska and Washington.

On October 1st Mary Eklund, formerly of Eklund Rockey Stratton, P.S. also joins us in an Of Counsel position. Mary has enjoyed a 30 year civil defense litigation practice with a heavy concentration defending accountants and accounting firms in accounting malpractice and errors and omission claims. Mary is well recognized throughout the Northwest for her accounting liability focus and is a frequent speaker in the financial services sector.

In addition to Mary and Earl’s expertise, Bill Fitzharris continues to represent stockbroker, accountants and other financial service professionals and insurance agents in error and omissions claims.

Earlier this year, Phil Bardsley, Shannon McMinimee, and Krista Mirhoseini joined the firm. Phil is formerly of Bullivant Houser and he brings over 25 years of an insurance defense practice with an emphasis in complex litigation and construction defect litigation.

Krista joined the firm in July, 2010 and brings over 15 years of litigation experience with experience in toxic torts and employment law.

Shannon was previously with the Seattle School District. Shannon brings considerable experience in the day-to-day legal issues which school districts face, with a focus on special education law.

The addition of this experience and expertise is consistent with the firm’s core values of delivering the highest level and quality of legal service and excellence. The firm now consist of 27 lawyers with a very broad base of civil insurance defense litigation including expertise in product liability, professional services liability, school law, transportation and hospitality law, construction defect, and, environmental and toxic issues.
